Designer devotees in the Valley have scored a new Prada paradise.
The luxury Italian label has opened a new 5,000-square-foot boutique at Westfield Topanga that pays homage to Prada's original Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II flagship in Milan. Decked out in the fashion house's signature pastel green, the interiors feature black-and-white checkered marble flooring, backlighting to add dimension, and airy wooden screen fixtures to separate collections.
On the shelves, find Prada's fall/winter women's and men's ready-to-wear, footwear, bags, accessories, and lifestyle pieces. Expect to find the new Prada Explore carryalls, Re-Nylon outerwear, and autumn-ready wool and shearling clothing alongside denim, tailored trousers with sportswear touches, formal outerwear, boots, ballet flats, and more.
Led by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, Prada most recently collaborated with Oscar-winning filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos on a short film starring Scarlett Johansson. On Sept. 30, the company scored European Commission approval to acquire Versace for $1.3 billion, per Reuters.
