Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios (Hollywood): Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights returns for the 2026 season with a terrifying lineup of haunted houses, scare zones and live entertainment. New experiences include "Terror Tram starring Art the Clown," "KILLceañera: Music by SLASH" and "Dead, Deader, Deadest," alongside the return of fan-favorite "Killer Klowns From Outer Space" and "The Purge: Dangerous Waters." Guests can also encounter scare zones including "Fortnitemares," "Hackerz," "El Circo de la Muerte" and "Blood Bog," plus previously announced houses inspired by Sinners, Stranger Things, Hellraiser, Evil Dead Burn and "Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness." New this year, the Unmasking the Horror Tour Add-On offers a behind-the-scenes, lights-on look at the making of select haunted houses.

Malibu Chili Cook-Off (Malibu): The iconic Malibu Chili Cook-Off returns for its 43rd annual Labor Day weekend, bringing four days of award-winning chili, live performances on the new Aviator Nation Dreamland Music Stage, carnival rides, a skate contest, local artists and more. The long-running community event also gives back, with 100% of net proceeds benefiting Boys & Girls Club of Malibu, supporting youth programs, mental health services and long-term disaster recovery. Tickets must be purchased online in advance, with carnival ride passes sold separately.

Reloved Market at Westfield (Century City): Vintage lovers, collectors and fashion fans can shop secondhand style at this two-day market celebrating circular fashion and creativity. The immersive experience will feature the TEZZA Studio photo booth, curated vintage denim by LENNY, vintage designer accessories from The Vintage Marche, a fashion library, vinyl listening corner, styling sessions, reclaimed denim art installation and more. Guests can also grab handcrafted ice cream from CASETTA while exploring the market.

NORMS Fall Menu Refresh (Multiple Locations): NORMS is kicking off the fall season with a menu refresh featuring five new dishes, all under $20, across its locations. New additions include the stacked NORMOUS Burger with double patties, bacon and American cheese, Chile Verde Chicken Bowl, Quesadilla Omelette, Red Chile Steak Bowl and a Cold Brew Coffee Cold Foam with three flavor options. Select locations will also offer freshly squeezed orange juice, giving diners more affordable options as the season changes.

Rooftop Cinema Club's "The Princess Bride" Wine Wednesday Screening (DTLA): Make it to the halfway point of the week with a little movie magic at Rooftop Cinema Club's Wine Wednesday screening of " The Princess Bride." The fairytale classic follows Westley and Buttercup as they navigate the mythical kingdom of Florin in a quest to reunite. Each ticket includes a complimentary glass of house wine, with guests invited to settle into rooftop seats and enjoy the fan-favorite film under the stars.

Family Style at Bluff Park at Salt Creek Beach (Dana Point): Wrap up the summer with a free evening of live music at the OC Parks Summer Concert Series at Bluff Park at Salt Creek Beach. The final concert of the nine-show series will feature Family Style with opener Chase Walker Band, bringing pop hits, nostalgic throwbacks, rock classics and more to the coast. Skate Hunnies Party on Wheels at the Academy Museum (Miracle Mile): Lace up and roll through the Wilshire-Fairfax neighborhood with Skate Hunnies for a free night of skating, music and community. The female-founded LA roller-skate collective will lead guests on a neighborhood skate before ending at the Academy Museum's Walt Disney Family Piazza for an evening of dance-skating and music. CineHaus Summer Nights: "A Star Is Born" (Hollywood): Head to the rooftop at Desert 5 Spot for a summer night under the Hollywood skyline with "A Star Is Born." Starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, the music-filled romance follows two musicians whose lives collide as one rises to fame and the other struggles to hold on. Guests can grab a cocktail, settle in for the screening and sing along to the film's unforgettable soundtrack, including "Shallow."

Echoes of Our Ancestors 2: Heroes & Saints (Griffith Park): Celebrate Armenian culture and heritage with an epic musical and visual experience at The Greek Theatre, headlined by Serj Tankian of System of a Down. Following its sold-out world premiere at the venue in 2025, the production returns with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, led by Chief Conductor Sergey Smbatyan, alongside artists including Arto Tuncboyacıyan, Sebu of Capital Cities, Inga & Anush Arshakyan and Isabel Bayrakdarian. Through live music, dance, immersive storytelling and visual design, the show explores centuries of Armenian history while honoring the heroes and saints who shaped the culture.

Hulu's "Chad Powers" Catfish Food Truck (Venice): Hulu is bringing the world of "Chad Powers" to Venice for a free one-day pop-up celebrating the return of Season 2. Fans can stop by the Catfish Food Truck for show-inspired bites like the SG Catfish Po'Boy and Fries Full of Lies, each paired with a complimentary sweet tea, or "change the play" for a chance to catch exclusive Powers #2 jerseys launched from a soft-shot cannon. The activation will also feature a "Sea of Chads," with masked Chad Powers lookalikes popping up throughout Venice and other LA spots. Food and merch are available while supplies last.

First Friday: Stamp Carving Workshop with Artist Timothy Musso (Catalina): Spend the evening at Catalina Museum for Art & History with artist Timothy Musso for a creative stamp-carving workshop inspired by his current exhibition, Tim Musso: Chasing the Sun: The Art, Process, and Design of Writing and Illustrating a Children's Book. The evening begins with a brief tour of the exhibition, featuring 19 original linoleum prints created for Musso's book Chasing the Sun, which follows the Arctic Tern's extraordinary 50,000-mile annual migration, before participants dive into their own hands-on stamp-carving experience.

Kaskade (Santa Monica): Dance by the ocean as Kaskade brings his immersive ORIGIN // show to one of Southern California's most iconic waterfront landmarks. Presented by Goldenvoice, the electronic music favorite will take over the Santa Monica Pier with support from Bryce Alakai for a special night overlooking the Pacific. The show is currently sold out, but fans can join the waitlist for a chance to attend.

"Cars": 20th Anniversary Friday Fan Event (Hollywood): Rev up for a special 20th anniversary celebration of Pixar's Cars at the El Capitan Theatre, where fans can catch the beloved animated classic back on the big screen. Follow Lightning McQueen as the rookie race car finds himself stranded in the Route 66 town of Radiator Springs and learns that life is about the journey, not just the finish line. The event also includes special fan offerings, including a Piston Cup Pack with priority entry, an event credential, themed drink container, popcorn and a fountain drink.

The free community experience will feature performances, complimentary food, immersive activations and collaborations with iconic local brands, plus exclusive giveaways while supplies last. The 2001 cult favorite follows three small-town rockers who rocket to superstardom before discovering a sinister plot hiding behind their catchy tunes. Starring Rachael Leigh Cook, Rosario Dawson, Tara Reid and Parker Posey, the screening brings the Y2K-era comedy and its iconic pop soundtrack to the cemetery for a nostalgic night under the stars.
