Australia's most provocative underpinnings label is making its way into LA's boudoirs. Honey Birdette is bringing its 50 Shades of Grey-ready luxury lingerie to Westfield Century City this October, marking its first-ever west coast outpost.
The Aussie brand is known for its seductive lingerie (like red lace and tulle bras, black silk bodysuits and chemises, and garter belt sets; $135 and up) and bedroom accessories, and no, we're not talking pillowcases and bedsheets: think titillating items like leather paddles and cat whips, satin bondage kits, and "truth or dare" card games, to name just a few, alongside toys for women, men, and couples.
The forthcoming LA shop is part of the sexy label's plans for U.S. domination, which also includes setting up its first U.S. HQ in Hollywood and a store in San Diego's Westfield University Town Center that'll open in November. The brand's new campaign, dubbed LA Story, also pays homage to its starry new territory with scenes shot at iconic spots like the Hollywood Roosevelt's penthouse rooftop, the picturesque Mulholland Drive, the palm trees of Beverly Hills, and DTLA.
Co-founder and managing director Eloise Monaghan tells us that each of Honey Birdette's Stateside shops will feature their own unique designs: "Some might have a champagne bar for example, a peep show in another, a stage or a catwalk. We will look to include private salons in some stores which will host private showings and offer one-off pieces such as Swarovski studded paddles and 18 carat gold riding crops…which won't be available anywhere else in the world," she tells us.
The label unveils new collections every week, she continues, and U.S. shoppers will "also be privy to exclusive premium higher price point lingerie collection which we are set to launch every couple of months.
Stay tuned for more on Honey Birdette's fall opening.
