Parachute's New Silver Lake Shop Will Inspire You to Restock Your Chic Linen Closet

Slumber-obsessed non-Westsiders no longer need to dream about chartering a helicopter to shop Parachute's chic bedsheets IRL. After opening its first brick-and-mortar in Venice two years ago, the online startup has officially touched down in Silver Lake, where its second LA outpost quietly opened two weeks ago.

Located on the buzzing stretch of Sunset Boulevard by Micheltorena Street (where stylish neighbors include A.P.C., Clare V., Alfred Coffee, The Now, and many others), the split-level space houses a welcoming lounge area in the front where shoppers can explore Parachute's latest products. On the upper level, find the label's luxe home textiles in neutral shades, like its bestselling percale bedding, linen crib sheets and baby blankets, absorbent waffle towels and lounge slippers, chambray fringed table runners and napkins, and more.

While you're there, don't forget to look up: The store's ceiling is covered in a blown-up reproduction of a local artist's minimalist interpretation of Silver Lake Reservoir. Another thing you'll notice? The lack of a cash wrap counter. Instead, shop associates will ring you up via checkout tablets, allowing you to pay for your goods anywhere in the store and get them delivered straight to your door.

Wanna welcome the LA-based label to its new nabe? Swing by its housewarming bash this Thursday, August 16 from 6 to 10pm for sips, bites, and non-snoozy company. That's not all: The brand will continue toasting its grand opening this weekend and next with free treats, drinks, and more. Visit the store this Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19 for free Intelligentsia coffee from 11am to 2pm and free bites all day from Donut Friend and Sqirl, respectively.

Next weekend, there'll be free champagne all day Saturday, August 25 and coffee and toast from Roo Silver Lake Sunday, August 25; on both days, visit between 2 to 5pm for free monogramming by cool LA vintage shop and chainstitchers Lot, Stock and Barrel.
