BITE's First LA Lip Lab Will Whip Up A Customized Lipstick Right Before Your Eyes

When it comes to lipstick, everyone's got their own signature shade — and sometimes, it might be the same one that every other beauty buff has stashed in their makeup bag. That won't be the case if you visit Bite's first-ever Los Angeles Lip Lab, which opened in charming Larchmont Village in mid-July.

The cruelty-free Canadian brand's fourth standalone outpost stocks its full inventory of products for your pucker, including its bestselling mini Amuse Bouche lippies, multi-sticks, matte creme lip crayons, and hydrating agave lip treatments alongside liquid lipsticks and lip pencils.

Looking for something more personalized? The Lip Lab's got two methods: Custom and Bespoke services. The Custom option ($55 for one lipstick and $80 for two) allows you to mix your own lipstick by selecting from over 200 different pigments; then it's onto the finishes (glossy sheer, matte crème, or amuse bouche) and finally, a delicious natural scent (cherry, mint, vanilla, mango, violet, coconut, wild berry, and fresh citrus.)

For an even more precise personalization experience, there's the Bespoke option. On top of choosing a long-lasting finish and one of eight scents, you'll get to whip up two of your very own lipstick colors from scratch, then have each tube engraved with your own monogram. The made-for-your-lips-only option will cost you $150, and you'll also take home a lip kit stocked with mini versions of Bite's Agave Lip Mask and Lip & Define Lip Primer along with a Whipped Cherry Lip Scrub. The Lip Lab will also save your personal formulas so you can recreate your colors in the future.

The best part? It only takes 15 to 20 minutes to cook up your lip colors by way of BITE's super-fast heating and cooling technology. And if you're looking to make a beauty bash out of your next lipstick-making sesh, the boutique also houses a private room for hosting birthday parties, bridal and bachelorette parties, and other events for makeup mavens.
