LA may be one of the most unaffordable housing markets, but you don't need to own your own abode to create a stylish living space. On that note, interior design aficionados will be happy to know that tomorrow marks the return of WestEdge Design Fair, the inspiring marketplace that's one again taking over Santa Monica's Barker Hangar for its sixth annual happening — this time with over 175 exhibitors.

The design-focused fest kicks off Thursday, October 18 with a grand opening soirée (7 to 10pm), which will benefit nonprofit organization Safe Place for Youth and will include a silent auction of the iconic Bertoia shell side chair reimagined by 15 A&D influencers.

The event continues Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20 from 10am to 6pm and Sunday, October 21 from 10am to 5pm. Expect to see furniture, lighting, textiles, appliances, hardware, and much more from big-name manufacturers to independent designers and makers, all with both residential and commercial spaces in mind.

The pup-friendly fair (yup, there's even a "bark-ar hangar" hangout for your canines) also boasts a full schedule of discussions, seminars, and workshops, including a brand development presentation geared for designers, a forecast of 2019's color and design trends, a panel featuring some of the design industry's leading female visionaries and talents, and much, much more.

This year's three-day design showcase also marks the debut of Women's Work, a exhibition partnership with MUSE by Robb Report that'll shine a spotlight on today's leading female designers and their latest works.

If you're looking to upgrade your domaine ASAP, you can shop for architecture-inspired accoutrements, home decor, and more from Air Plant Man, Tiny Badger Ceramics, Studio Stockholme, and others at Design Milk's "Milk Stand" pop-up, while the MADE:MODERN area will be a mecca of one-of-a-kind furniture, lighting, art, and decor made by independent talents.

Seeking kitchen reno inspiration and then some? You can check out some of the latest high-tech appliances in action at the Citi Culinary Pavilion, where pro chefs will be demonstrating their cooking chops (which means you'll get to taste a piece of their grub, too).

The best part? You don't need to be a pro designer or interior decor influencer to attend the industry-beloved event. Advance single-day admission is $25 ($30 day-of), tickets to the charitable opening party are $85, and VIP passes are $125 and include a gift bag and access to Thursday's celebration, talks, culinary demos, and panel discussions. (Oh, and all tickets include a one-year subscription to Architectural Digest, too.)

Kids under 12 and dogs are free, an on-site parking is available for $10 (cash-only).

Into it? See the full lineup of WestEdge's exhibitors and events here and buy tickets in advance online here.
