Silicon Valley may have pioneered corporate hoodie culture, but it's Los Angeles that perfected the luxe laid-back lifestyle. Chic Angelenos who can pull off pairing cool kicks with essentially any wardrobe staple (blazers, tees, the list goes on) will be happy to know that Kingslayer-faved footwear brand Koio has officially stepped into LA's shoe shopping scene with its first West Coast boutique on Abbot Kinney in Venice.
After popping up at Alfred Coffee on Melrose Place earlier this spring, the New York-based startup took over a portion of the vacant space formerly occupied by Abbot's Habit for its permanent LA store. The shop stocks the collab-loving brand's full collection of women's and men's footwear ($128 to $368) made ethically in the coastal Italian region of Le Marche. (Fun fact: Everything from Koio's luxe leather to shoe boxes are sourced from or made in Italy.)
As far as merch, expect to find colorful slides, the effortless low-top Capri and Gavia, the high-top Primo, and Koio's latest dad shoe-esque Avalanche in the minimalist shop.
