Isabel Marant's first sample sale in LA officially opens in Downtown tomorrow — and if you're at all curious about the merch and the prices, then keep on reading. We stopped by today's friends and family preview and got a sneak peek inside the blowout, which promises 50% off ready-to-wear, jewelry, footwear, and accessories from the cult-cool designer's fall/winter '17 line and prior collections.
Here, we've put together a handy guide to the edgy-bohemian designer's four-day blowout, which is taking place in the Fashion District with sample sale organizer Eclipse. See all of the need-to-know deets below (as well as a helpful map), then scroll through the gallery above to see more photos from inside.
When: Thursday, October 25 to Saturday, October 27 (10am to 7pm daily) and Sunday, October 28 (10am to 5pm)
Where: 846 South Los Angeles St., Los Angeles, CA 90014 (located next door to the Cooper Design Space)
Parking: Underground garage parking at the Cooper building next door is $5 for 30 minutes and $15 daily max Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm; Saturday (8am to 5:30pm) and Sunday (10am to 5:30pm) is $5 flat rate. There's also metered street parking on Los Angeles Street that's $4 per hour Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm.
Bag Check: Note that all bags will need to be checked once you enter, so we suggest bringing just your essentials in your pockets if possible.
Merchandise and Pricing: Expect 50% off Isabel Marant's main collection as well as her casual Etoile line from fall/winter '17. We spotted the Eloise embroidered denim jacket for $1,478 (originally $3,695) as well as the matching printed black leather Fezzy loafer for $277 alongside the cozy Tao quilted velvet coat for $925, the Welsey ruffled bib dress for about $1,500, and the Salina silk floral blouse for around $300, to name just a few items. We're told that inventory will also be restocked throughout the sale.
Layout: All ready-to-wear is organized by size from XS to L on the bottom floor, with accessories (belts and jewelry), dresses, skirts, and denim located on the left side as you enter; outerwear in the center; bags on the back wall; and blouses and sweaters on the right. Footwear and communal changing rooms are located on the second floor.
Fitting rooms: As mentioned above, there are changing rooms but note that they're communal, so we suggest wearing a form-fitting tank and leggings if you're shy about trying things on in front of strangers.
