For those who need to seriously meditate before dropping down dough on luxury accoutrements, you can do just that — or even take your fingers for a ride in a tiny skate park — at Hoorsenbuhs' first flagship. The LA-based brand is renowned for its Phantom ring (which starts around a cool $3k) and signature anchor link necklaces and rings, all of which you can find alongside more of its star-faved fine jewelry and début eyewear collection at its first West Coast boutique and atelier in Santa Monica.
Beloved by everyone from Rihanna and Gwyneth to Diddy and the Beckham clan, the luxe accessories label opened its new two-story HQ in mid-November across the street from its previously appointment-only showroom. Founded by designer and fashion photographer Robert Keith and brand director Kether Parker, the brand showcases its full jewelry range on the ground floor of the 5,000-square-foot space, which houses that all-black tabletop skate plaza (which even boasts little leather palm trees) and art by Damien Hirst (who has an ongoing collaboration with brand featuring his famed pill designs).
Up on the roof, there's a geodesic dome for hosting sound baths and other experiences — all part of the brand's plan to create a not-your-average retail therapy experience. The 2005-founded company didn't pull out any stops when it came to the rest of its furniture, as seen in the table wrapped in leather, oversized ring sculptures, fixtures modeled after Hoorsenbuhs' nautical motifs, and the massive vault door that separates the retail space from the brand's offices and workshop.
As far as merch, you'll find budget-busting showstoppers made of 18k yellow, white, and rose gold and sterling silver, including stackable tri-link bands ($1,500 and up), 5mm open link rings dotted in diamonds ($4,950 and up), anything-but-dainty chain necklaces, bolt pendants ($300), and more. The shop also offers Hoorsenbuhs' new 12-pair line of gold- and silver-plated eyewear ($745 to $795) alongside luxe monochromatic wardrobe staples, including logo-emblazoned tees, hoodie sweaters, nylon outerwear, Buscemi sneakers, leather backpacks, and more.
And for the record, it's pronounced HORSE-en-booze: The brand takes its name from the late-16th-century Dutch trading ship sailed by Keith's ancestors, which explains the antique maritime influences. (Say it out loud and you'll discover that the name truly came from the mouths of sailors.)
