Brooks Brothers' Star-Beloved Suits & Womenswear Are Returning to Beverly Hills This Fall

The American heritage brand is reopening not far from its previous location.

Brooks Brothers is coming back to Beverly Hills. The luxury heritage label shuttered its massive flagship last August following a 15-year run on Rodeo Drive, and this October will mark the return of America's oldest ready-to-wear brand to the high-end neighborhood — and it's taking over the former space of another legendary menswear retailer, no less. (Brooks Brothers' previous location is now home to the Louis Vuitton X exhibit, which runs through September 15.)

Landing on Cañon Drive in Carroll & Co.'s former store, the 7,800-square-foot boutique will follow in the footsteps of Brooks Brothers' new global concept store that opened in April at Hudson Yards in NYC. It'll blend "archival architectural inspirations from its historic flagship in New York City" and will stock the brand's full menswear collections, including ready-to-wear suits and its Golden Fleece line, as well as its Zac Posen-designed womenswear.

The store will also house made-to-measure tailoring and "a dedicated private area for Studio Service and VIP shopping." Once open, it'll join Brooks Brothers' other L.A.-area locations at the Jonathon Club in Downtown, the Beverly Center, and Del Amo Fashion Center.

Founded in 1818, the Manhattan-born company has been worn by nearly every U.S. president (including Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama, to name just a few) and generations of Hollywood royalty on- and off-screen, including Cary Grant, Clark Gable, Fred Astaire, George Clooney, Stephen Colbert, Will Smith, and many, many others.
