Athletic Propulsion Labs' First L.A. Shoe Shop Opens at The Grove This Weekend

And they're launching kicks for kids, too.

Now that The Grove is officially ready for holiday gift-hunting, its latest directory addition is arriving just in time to keep your busy feet comfy during your seasonal scavenger hunts. (Ahem, Black Friday madness?) After long last, L.A.-based Athletics Propulsion Labs has confirmed that its first flagship will open at the popular shopping haunt this Sunday, Nov. 24.

The brand's 3,000-square-foot space will debut APL's first-ever children's footwear line in addition to stocking its full collection of women's and men's footwear ($100 to $350), including its TechLoom line comprised of slides in a rainbow of hues, pro running sneakers, and more. The store will also offer a limited-edition Lakers-inspired purple and gold shoe as well as its latest holiday 2019 range of festive metallic colorways (including a new zebra print silhouette).

As far as the interiors, the shop — located in Anthropologie's former spot — will feature "a minimalist aesthetic to limit distractions," 31-foot ceilings, and "pay homage to the brand's L.A. roots and sports culture."

Although the brand was originally planning to open a massive store at Row DTLA (where its headquarters are located), it seems the NBA-banned footwear company has instead decided to focus on The Grove for its first retail opening.

In any case, stay tuned for more.
