Sneakerheads, here's another precious source for shopping rare kicks in L.A, courtesy of a sneaker and streetwear consignment shop beloved in the South. The Laboratory is opening its third U.S. outpost in Hollywood this weekend — and there'll be plenty of festivities for luxury-loving hypebeasts during the grand opening on Saturday.
Located next door to Urban Outfitters' Space 15 Twenty, the 2,375-square-foot resale shop will debut with hard-to-find sneakers, clothing, and collabs — think DJ Khaled's "We The Best" Jordan 3s, Travis Scott x Nike Air Max, Fear of God's Nike collection, Nike Yeezy 1 and 2s, Off-White x Nike, early 2000-era Jordans as well as recent releases, Nike Air Maxes and Runners, rare Asics and New Balance runners. Of course, expect plenty of pieces from Bape (including hoodies from its Keith Haring collab) and Supreme, while other budget-busting items will include a $20k Dior BMX bike and a Dior Rimowa suitcase set.
Doors open at noon Saturday, and pumped customers can queue up starting at 8 a.m. The first 25 shoppers to spend $500 or more will score a Supreme Bandana Box logo tee that's worth $350. There'll be plenty of Red Bull to keep shoppers caffeinated, but there are even more goodies in store for the retailer's guests from the Boys & Girls Club Hollywood, who'll be gifted something special from Nike during the opening event.
The Laboratory was founded in Oklahoma City by Shon Keoppel and Landon Liddell. A second store opened in Dallas last year.
