Ethereal womenswear label LoveShackFancy may be Manhattan-bred, but its breezy silhouettes were essentially made for laid-back Los Angeles. Come this spring (crossing fingers!), the fashion editor-founded brand is bringing its ruffled lace dresses and more to not one, but two Southern California locales for its first permanent West Coast boutiques.
Located between Mansur Gavriel and Veronica Beard, LSF's first L.A. store is opening on Melrose Place in the former pop-up shop that previously hosted Armani Beauty and Atelier Cologne. Another outpost is set to debut at Lido Marina Village, marking the brand's first Orange County store; the label also has two stores in its native NY and one in Dallas.
Now that summer's a month away, it's unclear if the stores will open this season as planned as a result of L.A.'s stay-at-home safety measures, and the brand tells us it'll share final details soon.
LSF was founded in 2013 by creative director and former Cosmopolitan fashion and beauty editor Rebecca Hessel Cohen, who was inspired to create the brand after designing her own bridesmaids' dresses for her whimsical wedding. The line has become known for its vintage-inspired romantic silhouettes (approximately $225 to $695), such as lace blouses, dresses, and more in hand-dyed fabrics and floral prints and now includes children's clothing.
While we await for LoveShackFancy's Melrose Place and Newport Village shops, get a taste of the brand's floral-filled spaces and check out photos of its 19th century Paris-inspired flagship in NY's Sag Harbor.
