Marcell Von Berlin's L.A. Flagship Will Give You a Fashionable Taste of Germany

It's not exactly the best time to take an international vacation. If you're daydreaming of a German getaway, consider a retail therapy trip to celeb-beloved label Marcell Von Berlin's U.S. flagship in West Hollywood. The brand recently launched its e-commerce site, but stylish Teutophiles will get a true taste of Los Angeles' sister city when they visit MVB IRL.

Born in Poland and now based in L.A. and Berlin, luxury designer Marcell Pustul's Melrose Avenue boutique (which first opened in November 2018) houses its very own Spätkauf, a.k.a. a corner convenience store known as laid-back drinking spots and pre-partying pit stops for locals and tourists alike.

Located on the ground floor, Marcell Von Berlin's Späti features a very 'grammable candy counter and shelves stocked with familiar American and Deutschland snacks, like Mentos, Jelly Belly beans, Tic Tacs, Curly chips, Mentos, Haribo treats, Saltletts sticks, Balisto candy bars, and more sweets — all gratis for shoppers. You can also grab a complimentary bottle of Afri-Cola, Club-Mate, or sparkling San Pellegrino water or peruse international editions of Vogue, Bazaar, and Wallpaper magazines on display.

For your fashion fix, head over next door to shop the brand's latest women's and men's ready-to-wear from its spring/summer 2020 line, which includes brush stroke-printed masks, bags, and bomber jackets alongside fluo hoodie dresses, denim and leggings featuring illustrated prints, and more Euro-luxe statement pieces inspired by Berlin street style. (J. Lo, Ireland Baldwin, Sofia Richie, and DJ Zedd are just a few fans of MVB.) Coming soon is the brand's first-ever fragrance, too.

Also on offer is MVB's Couture Collection, while the upstairs office and showroom offers a private space for fittings and VIP previews. The shop marks Pustul's third global outpost after his Berlin and Frankfurt locations.
