Nordstrom's much-anticipated anniversary sale returns this month, but credit card holders — specifically those with the very spendy Icons status — can shop the pre-fall blowout starting today. Otherwise, the rest of us can start adding to cart as soon as this Friday, Aug. 7 when the event opens up to Nordy Club members with Ambassador status, a.k.a. shoppers who spend $5,000 or more at the retailer in a calendar year.
Those with Influencer status who spend over $2,000 in a calendar year can start shopping Monday, Aug. 10, and loyal Insiders ($500 per year) will have access Thursday, Aug. 13. The markdown marathon open to all from Wednesday, Aug. 19 to Sunday, Aug. 30. There'll be plenty of perks for IRL and virtual shoppers, too: Nordy Club members can score a complimentary cup of coffee when they swing by the department store's restaurant or Ebar and flash their card, and the retailer is also hosting online beauty events during the sale. Everyone can also take advantage of virtual styling.
As far as merch, expect to shop womenswear, menswear, kids clothing, footwear, bags, accessories, jewelry, beauty, home goods, and more from a range of brands and designers — including Los Angeles-based cult-favorite labels such as L'Agence, Clare V., Frame, Daydreamer, Alo, Gorjana, Good American, and Sub_Urban Riot, among others.
To maintain a safe retail therapy experience during the pandemic, IRL shoppers are asked to wear face coverings in stores and maintain a distance of at least six feet from others. The retailer is providing masks to its employees and customers, and staff will be sanitizing and cleaning surfaces regularly.
Plus, contact-free curbside pickup will be available for online orders, and select Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom Local locations in L.A. will offer same- or next-day pickup.
