Come later this month, there'll be Supreme-like queues to experience Apple's first-ever Downtown L.A. store. The Cupertino-based company tells us that Apple Tower Theatre is slated to officially open Thursday, June 24 at 10 a.m., so start scheduling that DTLA Genius Bar appointment stat.
Apple confirmed that it was taking over the 94-year-old historic theatre in 2018. As previously reported, the tech giant will occupy approximately 14,858 square feet across the ground and basement floors. The company worked with British architectural firm Foster + Partners to restore the Broadway Theatre District landmark, which was DTLA's first talkie movie theatre when its doors opened in 1927.
Once open, Apple Tower Theatre will join a slew of Historic Core retailers, including Vans and West Elm (which both opened in early 2020) and Paul Smith (which opened last summer).
We fully expect grand opening festivities to take place; in the meantime, watch this space as we'll be updating it with additional details. Stay tuned!
