Fendi, the 96-year-old Roman luxury fashion house owned by LVMH, has teamed up with Kim Kardashian West's Skims to launch a limited-edition Fendi x Skims Capsule collection. To celebrate the logo-happy line's debut, the brands opened a pop-up boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills backed by an influencer blitz.

The Fendi x Skims collection coalesces the aesthetic codes of each brand to create a wardrobe for the Angelena who indulges in all that the modern era has to offer. The products range from $100 to $4,200.

Full of too-good-not-to-pose lighting, the Rodeo Drive location – one of 13 Fendi x Skims pop-ups around the world – reportedly amassed long lines when it opened. Much of the Fendi x Skims collection actually sold out within 24 hours, reportedly earning the collab $1 million in profits within the first minute of launching.

The Fendi x Skims space spans 1,205-square-feet and has been designed to embody the palette of the collection. Neutral tones accented with bold colors like neon purples and pinks flourish as the massive walls illuminate the space with a soft yet bright light. The bold purple entrance welcomes guests into the space as form-fitting silhouettes of leather dresses dangle from poles in the center of the space while purses, sandals, hats, sunglasses, and more line the walls. The dresses are offered in a range of eight muted tones from beige to brown and in an array of inclusive sizing.

Venturing further into the second room, guests are met with more of the collection's neutral-toned pieces and miniature, multi-colored mannequins showcasing Skims' quintessential shapewear.

The last section of the Fendi x Skims Rodeo Drive pop-up includes a digital photo room installation with an infinity room setting and a purple center wall emblazoned with the hybrid logo. Once inside, guests can create a short video surely worthy of sharing on their social channels.

The Fendi x Skims capsule collection derives inspiration from sketches from an archival Fendi collection initially presented by Karl Lagerfeld in 1979, which centered on twisted tube tops, pop colors, and tight sashes – combining the focus on fit and form that KKW's Skims is known for – enabling guests to live in both the past and present of the Fendi universe.

The house of Fendi was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome, followed by the launch of Fendi's inaugural boutique in 1925 – a handbag shop and fur workshop followed. Quickly earning international acclaim, the brand emerged as a label of elegance, craftsmanship, innovation, and style. The collaboration with the late Karl Lagerfeld began in 1965 and endured 54 years. Silvia Venturini Fendi seconded him in the Artistic Direction in 1992. In 1994 she was given responsibility of leather goods accessories and then the menswear line. The LVMH Group acquired Fendi in 2000. In September 2020, Kim Jones was appointed artistic director of couture and womenswear as Delfina Delettrez Fendi, a fourth-gen Fendi, joined the maison as artistic director of jewelry.

Skims, founded by Kim Kardashian West and Emma Grede in 2019, touts itself as a solutions-orientated label designing the next generation of underwear, loungewear, and shapewear. It continues to set new, more inclusive standards by providing solutions for every body. From technically constructed shapewear that enhances its customers' curves to underwear that stretches to twice its size, the brand's goal is to consistently innovate on the past and advance the industry.
