If you're tired of walking around looking like a surgeon because of your mask, there's a more stylish way to stay safe. Maskc (pronounced mask-cee) has become Hollywood's favorite disposable face mask label, producing functional KN95 and 3-ply masks that filter while making you look fabulous. The L.A.-based label has blown up here and beyond thanks to the likes of Gigi Hadid, Camila Cabello, Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, and Jennifer Lopez sporting its cute coverings.
Constantly misplacing your mask? Keep it close with Maskc's Interlocking Gold mask chain ($15) The label also offers kids' masks, available in rainbow and magenta ($36 for a pack of 10), to name a few.
But don't judge a mask by its cover. Maskc masks are FDA-approved and feature the same effectiveness, structure, and features as any ordinary high-quality mask, so you can rest easy knowing COVID-19 particles aren't creeping through. What sets them apart is they feel soft on your skin (bye, maskne and chafing) and have comfortable ear loops.
As of Tuesday, January 18, L.A. County has mandated that all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask in all indoor public settings, venues, gatherings, and public and private businesses – along with several other CDC-aligned orders you can download here.
And as of Friday, January 28, the CDC continues to recommend that you wear the most protective and well-fitting mask that you'll wear consistently. It also ordered that all individuals over the age of two who are not up to date with COVID-19 vaccines must wear a mask indoors in public. For vaccinated individuals, the CDC recommends maximizing protection by wearing a mask indoors in public if in an area of substantial or high transmission. Last, the CDC said all individuals must wear a mask over the nose and mouth on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the U.S. and while indoors at transportation hubs like airports and train stations.
