Each fall, this series features a classical tragedy or comedy in the Getty Villa's dramatic Outdoor Theater, a venue modeled after ancient Greek and Roman theaters. Holy Water x Gay Men's Chorus Los Angeles "Sing out, Louise!" (WeHo): Holy Water is debuting a boozy fun give-back cocktail – Sing out, Louise! Oktoberfest at Catalina Museum for Art & History (Avalon): Catalina Museum for Art & History's highly anticipated Oktoberfest returns for another year bringing Bavarian culture to Avalon. Attendees will be treated to the energetic sounds of The Hammerstein Band, renowned for their authentic Bavarian polka rock, who will lead the traditional Schnitzelbank sing-along, featuring both German and Catalina Island versions. Guests can enjoy delicious bratwursts with all the traditional sides included in the ticket price, while German beer will be available for purchase for those 21 and over. In the true Oktoberfest spirit, guests are encouraged to don their finest lederhosen and dirndls. Additionally, bring your own stein to partake in a drink and enter a special raffle. The Art of Competition Tour (DTLA): Don't miss the first stop of "The Art Of Competition" tour. Secret Walls' is throwing an electrifying, adrenaline-filled interactive rush art battle. Academy Museum Free Day 2024 (Wilshire): In celebration of the Academy Museum's third anniversary, they are offering complimentary general admission on September 29, 2024. Advanced tickets are sold out, but a standby line will be available. Museum members receive priority entry and a special gift at check-in with proof of membership. Visitors receive free admission to Charlie Chaplin's silent comedy The Gold Rush at 2pm.
