There are no shortage of designer deals happening this weekend – but if you're looking to shop some of L.A.'s coolest independent fashion labels (including a CFDA-approved designer), consider planning a DTLA day this Saturday.
Intentionally Blank, the artful shoe brand founded by creative director Ty McBride, is roundup a handful of stylish pals for a one-day warehouse sale at 1700 Santa Fe Ave., Suite 280 in the Arts District. Happening July 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the one-day shopping event promises items starting at just $10 from effortlessly cool local labels stocked at FWRD, Urban Outfitters and other retailers.
The lineup is heavy on whimsical, statement-making pieces from eco-minded local brands: expect sustainable ready-to-wear from CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund 2023 finalist Sami Miro Vintage (Michelle Obama, Beyoncé and Selena Gomez are just a few stars who've worn designer Sami Miró's edgy pieces made of deadstock and eco fabrics), minimalist-chic womenswear from Auteur (which is currently rebranding), Selva World's whimsical dresses (plus statement-making two-piece sets and more), Bellevue's romantic mini dresses and ruffled maxi dresses (to name a few), Maison Amory's bridesmaid-ready dresses and other romantic silhouettes, and Aussie designer Kirsty Boskemper-Irwin's slow fashion label Boskemper (which appears to no longer be in business, judging from the defunct website).
Intentionally Blank tells us it'll offer "hundreds of sample shoes" (women's sizes 7 and 11) starting at $50, current spring/summer styles in sizes 5 to 11 starting at $69, bags from $50, and accessories for $10 and up. In addition to free parking across the street (1800 South Santa Fe Ave.), expect complimentary drinks and plenty of music to power your retail therapy.
