Olivia Rodrigo took over a Los Angeles record store to build up excitement for her new Lego Editions collection (and next month's Daisy Chain Fields fest and her global Unraveled Tour!) with the announcement of a worldwide scavenger hunt.
The Grammy-winning musician on Monday took over Studio City's Licorice Pizza Records to kick off her Lego Editions Vinyl Hunt that will lead fans to find 333 limited-edition brick-built records in secret locations around the world, starting with L.A., Paris, London, and Shanghai. The 23-year-old star surprised 100 fans at the one-day pop-up with giveaways, fruit-infused fro-yo from Swirlies (complete with flavors and toppings inspired by Rodrigo's music), a fridge filled with her favorite Babybel cheese snacks, and the opportunity to play with her building sets and create stop-motion films via the Lego Play app.

After joining fans for an impromptu singalong to "stupid song" (and giving an 8-year-old fan the mic), Rodrigo sat down for a "moonside chat" to answer fans' questions about her Lego collab, where she finds inspiration, her upcoming tour, her writing process for her third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So In Love, and more.
"After every important show I do, like the Grammys or SNL, I always get a Five Guys cheeseburger," the singer-songwriter explained. Fans will find that Easter egg "in the big guitar [set]; it opens up and it's a dressing room [and] there's a little hamburger."
When asked by she finds draws creativity, she said, "Honestly, being an only child does contribute a lot to songwriting because I was alone so much growing up that I had to have all these feelings and have a way to get them out in the privacy of my own room, so I feel like that's why I turned to songwriting." (The fan signed their question card "from a fellow only child.")

Available now for pre-order, the Olivia Rodrigo x Lego Editions collection will be released on August 1 and features five building sets ($34.99-$119.99) inspired by her music, viral concert moments, and favorite things. The limited-edition range marks the Swedish toy brand's first-ever collaboration with a musical artist that features a special minifigure for each design. (The company previously teamed with Pharrell on a set to commemorate his Piece by Piece biographical documentary film.) Lego also created a new star-shaped building brick specifically for Rodrigo's sets.
Over the next two weeks, Rodrigo and Lego will release more clues on social media for fans to find the hidden vinyls. The first set of hints featured coordinates of record stores, which led fans to Nivessa Records in L.A., Rough Trade Records in Liverpool, England, and beyond.

The SoCal-raised pop superstar will next play her women-powered festival, Daisy Chain Fields, on Aug. 29 at Irvine's Great Park alongside Bikini Kill, the Breeders, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Garbage, Katseye, Mitski, and many others. Special guests will include Sarah McLachlan (whose Lilith Fair Tour in the late '90s inspired Rodrigo's fest), Stevie Nicks and Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Tickets are now sold out and available via waitlist for $255-$1,255; suites and bungalows for up to 15 guests are $25,000 to $30,000. Rodrigo's Unraveled Tour kicks off Sept. 25 and includes 10 shows at the Intuit Dome in L.A. in January 2027. (The L.A. concerts are now sold out on Ticketmaster, but fans can still buy resale tickets at third-party sites including Ticket Network, StubHub, SeatGeek, VividSeats and Ticket Liquidator.)
