Lancôme's The Lash Edit Pop-Up (Beverly Grove): Beauty lovers, this one's worth adding to your August agenda. Lancôme is bringing The Lash Edit to The Grove, a free interactive pop-up celebrating the brand's cult-favorite mascaras and latest eye innovations. Angelenos can try three new MUG Root Beer Float Flights at participating Baskin-Robbins locations, each featuring three mini floats with unique ice cream pairings. Choose from the Fruity Flight with Triple Mango, Cherries Jubilee and Vanilla; the Nutty Flight with Pistachio Almond, Pralines 'n Cream and Vanilla; or the Candy Flight with Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, OREO S'mores and Vanilla. Kasey Knudsen Sextet at the Hammer Museum (Westwood): Jazz lovers can spend Thursday evening at the Hammer Museum with a free performance by the Kasey Knudsen Sextet as part of the museum's JazzPOP 2026 series. Led by acclaimed San Francisco saxophonist Kasey Knudsen, the six-piece ensemble blends expansive compositions with inventive improvisation, creating an evening of modern jazz that's both atmospheric and dynamic. The free concert features Henry Hung on trumpet, Rob Ewing on trombone, Dahveed Behroozi on piano, Lisa Mezzacappa on bass and Jon Arkin on drums.

Head in the Clouds Music & Arts Festival (Pasadena): The one-day Head in the Clouds Music & Arts Festival returns to Brookside at the Rose Bowl with a lineup celebrating Asian and Asian-diaspora talent, headlined by KATSEYE, with performances from XG, Dabin.kr, UMI, LNGSHOT, KiiiKiii and more. This year, the festival is partnering with TikTok LIVE for an exclusive livestream featuring performances, backstage artist interviews and interactive commentary. Fans can tune in through the @88rising, @headintheclouds and @tiktoklive_us accounts. SOULNIC Music Festival: Sweet 16 (DTLA): Celebrate 16 years of community, dance and soulful music at SOULNIC Music Festival, a family-friendly summer gathering returning to Downtown L.A. for its Sweet 16 celebration. The all-day festival brings together soulful house, disco, Afro and Latin house, jazz, soul and R&B, with performances from Bridge, Drack Muse, Lyric Jones, KG SuperStar, Nico and Cquer. Beyond the music, guests can expect food, fashion, art, local vendors and a multigenerational crowd in a park setting. Founded in 2010 as a community picnic inspired by Chicago's summer gatherings, SOULNIC has grown into a beloved celebration centered on music, dance and connection.
