Santa Monica has pulled the plug on Ocean Way Festival.
Originally set for Sept. 26 and 27 with The Killers and Olivia Dean as headliners, the inaugural event is being canceled "due to the impacts of Hurricane Marie," per a joint statement from the Goldenvoice-organized event and the City of Santa Monica. "Storm surf and runoff has caused significant beach erosion and the festival can no longer be safely held as planned."

The announcement notes that "refunds are being processed automatically, and no further action is required on your part."
The two-day festival's lineup also included White Stripes frontman Jack White, Khruangbin, Sublime, Durand Jones & the Indications, Alvvays, Hiatus Kaiyote, and others. Ticket prices started at $229 for one-day passes and $399 for two-day passes; VIP and Premium Pit tiers were also available.
Goldenvoice had partnered with Proper Santa Monica hotel to offer the Proper Beach Club, an exclusive oceanfront area within the festival. Premium hotel packages were also available for festgoers, and Proper Hospitality yesterday had just announced its culinary and retail lineup that was slated to include the Dune Lounge by Kelly Wearstler Studio, a wellness activation by Vuori, a pop-up hat bar with Freya, Bloom smoothie stations, and more.
