It seems that Los Angeles has always been a #wellness state of mind, and the last several years has seen its beauty scene getting in on the clean and cruelty-free action. The latest stylish stretch to score its own non-toxic mani/pedi haven is streetwear-happy Fairfax, where Denver-bred nail salon Base Coat has opened its second LA outpost.

Landing just south of Willoughby Avenue, the bright and chic space features color cacti wallpaper, comfy seating, and of course, Base Coat's full range of services using its UsA-made, vegan, and 8- and 10-free nail polishes. On the menu, expect manicures ($30 to $50), pedicures ($40 to $60), and services for little ones ($20 to $40), plus add-ons like aromatherapy massage and nail art, to name a few.

Explore the photogenic new nail studio in the gallery above, then book your next appointment online, by calling (323) 847-5110, or via their iOS or Android app.

Base Coat Nail Salon is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm; (323) 847-5110.
