When Acne Studios revealed last fall that it was opening a second outpost in LA, we predicted that it would land on the very buzzing intersection of Melrose and La Cienega. Turns out that our aim was about half a mile off as we spotted the under-construction boutique further west on Melrose Avenue.
Landing across from Verve Coffee, Acne Studios (which stands for Ambition to Create Novel Expression) is taking over the corner space of a chic '70s-built building at Melrose and North Almont Drive. Luxe neighbors include Maxfield, Helmut Lang, James Perse, and celeb-faved salon Benjamin with Negin Zand, to name just a few. The Stockholm-based brand was expected to arrive on the stylish shopping stretch last year, and a trusted source tells us the shop is now slated to open its doors "in a couple weeks" — stay tuned for more!
