Mermaids officially exist — well, at least in the realm of immersive experiences. We scored a sneak peek at the much-hyped Mermaid Museum at last night's preview and dove right into the photogenic and whimsical paradise (and yes, a social media-driven publicity machine) inspired by Freeform's fantasy drama, Siren.

From a giant oyster and a mini underwater playplace (complete with oceanic "bubbles") to a mermaid tank starring the mythical specimen, the exhibit promises plenty of selfie-ready moments. Creative guests can also "draw" on a wall covered with mermaid scales (okay, they're sequins) and learn more about the mysterious creatures at the Bristol Cove fishing store.

It's all taking place at Hollywood's Goya Studios today and Friday from 3 to 9pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 6pm, and although the four-day event is now sadly sold out, we're sharing a few snaps from our visit to the imaginative space. (There's still time to catch our Instagram Stories, too!)

For those who didn't snooze on booking that reservation, we've got a few tips to help make your experience a cinch. First, it's worth noting that the entrance to the museum is located on Selma Avenue and parking is pretty scarce in that area, so ridesharing may be your best bet. The event is also first-come, first-serve, so there may also be a line when you arrive for your timed entry — so if you've managed to score a metered parking spot, we suggest accounting for the possibility of waiting in a queue.

While we're on the subject of parking, it goes without saying that street parking during rush hour on Thursday and Friday evenings can be tricky (translation: Read those parking signs!)
