$3 Online Store Brandless Is Popping Up in LA Next Week, But It Won't Be Selling Any Merch

It's bringing a full schedule of inspiring events from May 1 to 13.

After opening its digital doors with much fanfare last year, online grocery store Brandless is coming to LA — but don't expect to stock up on its $3 life essentials. Known for its non-GMO food and cruelty-free products, the mindful brand (okay, so it's not entirely label-free) is bringing its Pop-Up with Purpose to Melrose Avenue from Tuesday, May 1 to Sunday, May 13.

While the "shop" will offer samples of Brandless' non-GMO food, cruelty-free beauty and skincare goods, and non-toxic cleaning products, it won't be selling any actual merchandise. Instead, the main focus is the startup's schedule of daily events featuring inspiring panels on wellness, entrepreneurship, finance, healthy living, and more.

Events and talks include an eco-friendly living discussion led by LADWP's youngest commissioner, a food photography class with Tastemade, how to go gluten-free with Nima Labs, a DIY beauty workshop with Mixed Makeup, a zine-making workshop with LA artist Lorenzo Diggins, and more alongside morning meditations, yoga sessions, and many other happenings.

It'll cost you $9 to register for each event, but there's a conscious catch: Brandless will donate 10 meals to its nonprofit partner Feeding America for every attendee and 5,000 meals for every speaker, plus another 3 meals whenever you post on social media using the tags @brandlesslife or #brandlesslife. Attendees will also score goodie bags filled with Brandless' products.

Can't attend IRL? Select panels will be streamed online on Facebook; see the full lineup and register online here.
