Hatch's First West Coast Boutique in Brentwood Is Now Dressing LA's Stylish Mamas-to-Be

Children are our future, but let's get real: Pregnancy ain't always a party. From preggo pains like swollen cankles to those is-my-boob-supposed-to-look-like-that moments, there's no shortage of body weirdness during the baby growing process. Styling the bump, however, doesn't have to be a fashion headache, and stylish ladies can thank New York-based online brand HATCH for that. LA women can now shop the pre- and post-pregnancy lifestyle label's mama essentials IRL at its first-ever West Coast boutique in Brentwood, which opened this past Thursday.

Located across from Brentwood Country Mart, the 1,400-square-foot space (previously home to the Elder Statesman) isn't your average maternity clothing store. The shop stocks HATCH's full collection of bump-ready clothing (including luxe basics, breezy slip dresses, denim, breastfeeding-friendly button-downs and overalls, and more) and curated gift sets (like hospital and home boxes) alongside hats by Janessa Leoné ad socks by Maria La Rosa. There's also an exclusive LA la mama tee collab with prinkshop, with all proceeds benefiting nonprofit organization Alliance of Moms.

Also in the house is a dedicated apothecary featuring HATCH's newest line of non-toxic, plant-based beauty essentials, like stretch mark-reducing belly sheet masks and oils and calming ankle and foot cream. Clearly with mamas' appetites in mind, there's even a cravings bar stocked with pickles and ice cream (don't knock it 'till you've tried it), almonds, dried fruits, and more sweet and savory snacks.

As far as the inspiring interiors, HATCH founder Ariane Goldman tapped pals Hilary Koyfman and Caitlin Levin (who are also behind the brand's New York flagship) to dream up the stylish space, which features playful wood paneling, custom vintage-inspired seats, and sconces and a chandelier inspired by leaves. Goldman tells us that she commissioned Texas-based illustrator Jessica Engle (found via good old-fashioned Google search) to paint the cheery flamingo in the shop's beauty corner, while friends based in Morocco created the hand-loomed textured dressing room curtains.

The community-focused shop will also host a regular schedule of events, including a pre-natal chat with Elizabeth Canon Friday, November 2, a doula- and midwife-led discussion on midwifery and hospital births on Monday, Nov. 5, a mama-and-me morning yoga sesh on Monday, Nov. 12, and more. Plus, swing by Tuesday, Nov. 6 and show off your "I Voted" sticker to score 15% off your purchase.
