We can thank cool designer duo Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard for turning the dickey into a fashionable staple. Following their preppy-luxe label Veronica Beard's LA debut last year on Melrose Place, the stylish sisters-in-law are opening another SoCal outpost — this time at buzzing Palisades Village.
Set to open in March, the 1,000-square-foot boutique will stock the American sportswear-inspired brand's signature tailored dickey jackets along with the rest of its women's ready-to-wear, denim, and footwear collections. The New York-based Veronicas are once again teaming with friend and interior designer Carolina de Neufville (who also designed the Beards' other stores) to deck out the globally-inspired beach shack-like space, which will feature batik- and animal print fabric-covered bamboo furniture by Paul Frankel, vintage surfboards, raffia and linen accents, clapboard walls, and California photography.
