Lightbox's Lab-Grown Diamond Earrings & More Jewelry Are Popping Up in LA Starting Today

The just-launched brand is making it easier to shop conflict-free gems.

Apparently, there's a scientific explanation for why we love shiny things — but in this conscious day and age, a blood diamond shouldn't be one of them. That's the idea behind Lightbox, a just-launched online jewelry line that sources its conflict-free gems from science labs in the U.K. — and you can try them on for yourself at the brand's first LA pop-up shop at Westfield Century City starting today. (It's worth noting that the company is owned by De Beers Group, which has made efforts to clean up the gem industry's dirty mining act.)

Holding court on level one at the Atrium through Thursday, February 14, the boutique will offer Lightbox's new (and very Valentine's Day-ready) collection of heart-shaped pendant necklaces and earrings ($300 to $1,000). Also on offer are the rest of the brand's online-only acccoutrements, including single stud earrings ($200), chevron pendant necklaces set in sterling silver ($300), solitaire blue studs in 10k white gold ($400), pink princess studs in 10k rose gold ($1,000), and more.

There'll also interactive events during Lightbox's LA stay, like a cookie decorating sesh with Design Love Fest blogger Bri Emery this Saturday, February 9 from 12 to 2 p.m. and a mommy-and-me shopping party with Front Roe fashion blogger/author/TV host Louise Roe on Sunday morning.
