If it hasn't already, festival season style will soon hit a fever pitch on the shelves and racks of our favorite stores. Blame it on the zillions of Coachella fashion emails we get as editors (We get it: Bold prints! Crop tops! Fringe!), but we've been eyeing summer-ready silhouettes that aren't trying to check off all of the fest-ready boxes.
That's why we'll be traipsing around local farmers markets in this Cali-inspired dress from husband-and-wife L.A. label The Odells' recently-launched collaboration ($52 to $298) with super blogger Jacey Duprie of Damsel in Dior. While we'd willingly add every piece in the capsule collection to our minimalist-meets-bohemian wardrobe, the collab's Easy Dress in Ridgecrest ($248) immediately caught our eye, thanks to its vintage-inspired silhouette and breezy fit.
Designed from fabric made in India on a power loom (which weaves the pattern into the cloth itself), this dropped-waist shirt dress is perfect for spring picnics, desert day trips, and yes, perhaps even a summer music fest when paired with the right shoes. (We'll be wearing it with our favorite menswear-inspired shoes for daytime excursions and minimalist nude sandals for a more laid-back look.)
The range is also comprised of a wide leg jumpsuit in the same laid-back fabric ($268), a structured blue swing dress ($268), and a dark blue patterned caftan maxi dress ($274) that we can see wearing as a light duster jacket in the summer. If you're into matching with your beaut, the line also includes men's pieces, like a relaxed pocket tee ($52), a gauzey short-sleeved button-down ($168), and a casual twill jacket ($242), to name a few.
