Two of Beyoncé's Fave L.A. Vegan Spots Are Giving Half Off Part of Your Tab Every Monday

As if Mother Earth and your health weren't good enough excuses to go meatless every Monday (or every day), allow superstar plant-based diet purveyors Beyoncé and Jay-Z to convince you. If you're finally ready to take on Queen Bey's 22-day challenge, then you'll be happy to know that some of her favorite L.A. vegan spots want to help you show some, uh, gratitude towards Mother Earth and your health by picking up part of your tab.

Love Serve Remember, the vegan-friendly restaurateurs behind West Hollywood Mexican resto Gracias Madre and healthy eatery chains Café Gratitude and Gratitude Kitchen & Bar, are unveiling a major Meatless Mondays deal now through August 12. You'll get 50% off select menu items at the restaurants' SoCal locations, including Café Gratitude's outposts in Larchmont (where Bey and Jay have been spotted), Venice, and the Arts District in DTLA as well as Gratitude Kitchen & Bar in Beverly Hills and Newport Beach. (You'll just need to sign up for the Gratification Program, which is free.)

Expect the menu to rotate regularly, with featured items including the Crab Torta and the Mushroom Fajitas at Gracias Madre, the Committed Pulled Mushroom Sandwich and the Smokin' Chili Bowl at Café Gratitude, and the Enthusiastic Fried Chicken Sandwich and Elevated Fried Chicken Plate, to name a few.

The restaurant group maintains that switching to one plant-based meal per week can help "save 2.5 pounds of carbon output, 133 gallons of water, and 24 square feet of land, while each day you leave meat off your plate you can reduce your carbon footprint by over 8 pounds." (UC Davis and Penn State can confirm those claims.)
