It's not often that The Citizenry slashes prices on its printastic pillows, rugs, and other stylish home goods — but L.A.'s bohemian modern decor lovers can score deals on the globally-conscious New York-based brand's textiles, furnishings, and more during its first-ever L.A. sample sale next month.
Happening Thursday, June 6 through Saturday, June 8 (10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily) and Sunday, June 9 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), the blowout promises nearly-perfect seconds and one-of-a-kind samples from the online retailer's fair-trade goods made by artisans in Portugal, Peru, Morocco, Kenya, Brazil, and other far-flung destinations. As far as merch, expect bedding, tableware, baskets, blankets, towels, rugs, pillows, ceramics, and other home accessories from recent and past collections — no word yet on exact pricing and discounts, but stay tuned for more.
Eclipse tells us that tableware will be $15 for mugs and bowls, $20 for large mugs, $30 for kitchen linens, $35 for candles, and $50 for pitchers; small decor (including vases, candle holders, and small dishes) will be $40; medium decor (like trays and planters) will be $60; baskets will be $50 to $75; and mirrors will be $150. Bedding will be $25 for pillowcases, $80 for duvets, and $85 for sheets; blankets and throws will be $60 to $95; and towels will be $15 to $30. Pillows will be in the mix (of course), too: small lumbar (12×20") and 18×18" sizes will be $20, larger lumbar (16×26") and 20×20" sizes will be $90, and 22×22" will be $100.
As for rugs, expect 2×3' rugs for $70, 4×6' for $200, 6×9' for $300, and 8×10' for $600. Last but not least, furniture offerings will include side tables for $130, leather poufs for $150, and chairs for $400.
