Inside Star Makeup Artist Charlotte Tilbury's Art Deco-Inspired U.S. Flagship at The Grove

After bringing her Hollywood-inspired cosmetics to international destinations like Dubai and Kuwait and her hometown of London, Charlotte Tilbury has finally débuted her U.S. flagship in our very own city. As promised, the celebrity-beloved makeup artist's first-ever Beauty Wonderland boutique in L.A. soft-opened at The Grove last Friday.

Tilbury — whose clients include Nicole Kidman, Amal Clooney, Olivia Wilde, and other A-listers and who has dreamed up countless looks for Vogue covers — took over Elizabeth & James' former store (located between Crate & Barrel and Mac Cosmetics) and transformed the 1,200-square-foot space into a glamorous mirror-filled, Art Deco-inspired beauty playground fully stocked will her namesake brand, which first launched in the U.S. in 2014.

Shoppers can try on Tilbury's 10 signature looks and even take home how-to guides for each, while a high-tech Magic Mirror powered by Makeup A.I. offers "virtual one-on-one consultations" and get personalized beauty regimen recommendations from Tilbury herself (well, the digital version of her, anyway). In addition to her full line of cosmetics and skincare, expect to find limited-edition lipsticks usually only available online, her newest Collagen Lip Bath plumping glosses ($35), and her latest Hot Lips 2 line, which features 11 shades inspired by everyone from Jennifer Aniston and Tilbury's mother to J.K. Rowling and Alessandra Ambrosio, to name a few, and are available in engravable and refillable exclusive lippie tubes.

In the center of the store, a makeup vanity encourages beauty buffs to play with favorites like Tilbury's lipsticks, award-winning products like the Magic Cream and Miracle Glow primer, and Scent of a Dream perfume, to name a few. A lip and eye bar — complete with a 'grammable chair and neon sign — showcases eyeliners, mascaras, three-in-one brow products, and Luxury eyeshadow palettes, and of course, her full range of star-faved lipsticks, lip glosses, liners, and more.

You can also play with skincare products — including dry sheet masks, Goddess Ritual cleansing sets, online exclusives like the Multi Miracle Glow, and more — at the Fountain of Youth, a.k.a. a decadent sink made of pink quartz inspired by Tanit, the Ibizian goddess of femininity and power (fun fact: Tilbury was raised in Ibiza).

The store's private Beauty Boudoir boasts a deep crimson circular velvet sofa (equipped with USB ports for charging your devices), Parisian nude pleated walls, and mirrored makeup stations where customers can enjoy Tilbury's signature red carpet-ready makeovers, bespoke bridal services, and tips and tricks from Team Tilbury's pro artists.
