Here's some Monday news you won't want to snooze, especially if you're in need of upgrading your slumber. Casper is bringing its comfy mattresses and more to Melrose Avenue soon by way of its first L.A. Sleep Shop — and we're hoping the space will follow in the footsteps of its nap-happy Dreamery that opened in NYC last year. (The brand previously had a slumber-welcoming showroom up in the Hollywood Hills several years back.)
The original sleep industry disruptor — known for launching its affordable bed-in-a-box concept in 2014 — is opening at the 3,300-square-foot space where Tomas Maier popped up last year. (Before that, Alexander McQueen was located at the address until the luxury label moved to Rodeo Drive.) Shoppers will be able to take a test nap on Casper's full range of premium latex and memory foam mattresses, such as its classic three-layer Essential ($395 to $795), the best-selling Casper ($595 to $1,195), and the advanced five-layer Wave ($1,395 to $2,695) that features supportive gel pods and cooling.
Expect the space to showcase the rest of brand's sleek accessories and bedroom furniture ($65 to $2,990), such as pillows, bedding, mattress pads and protectors, bed frames, side tables, dimmable Glow Light, and other sleep-inducing products.
The brand is currently stocked at Target and Nordstrom and has popped up previously in L.A. (including twice on Abbot Kinney in Venice) and most recently in fall/winter 2018, when it rolled out 15 pop-ups across the U.S.
