The store showcases nearly 100 works of art from 69 different artists, including LA-based like Lianne Gold (pictured), Tanya Aguiniga, Edward Lentsch, and Chase Langford, alongside international artists like Scott Everingham, Keiko Gonzalez, and the late Dirk DeBruyecker, to name a few.
Cult-cool labels like JW Anderson, Junya Watanabe, Comme de Garcons, Simone Rocha, and more can be found in the exclusive SPACE shop-in-shop curated by VP of Special Projects Olivia Kim (who made her name behind the scenes at Opening Ceremony).
Sneakerheads and streetwear aficionados will want to make a beeline for the Nordstrom x Nike boutique, an exclusive shop-in-shop concept also dreamed up Kim. Here, shop exclusive and limited edition clothing, footwear, accessories, and tech every month.
Over in the beauty department, makeup mavens can experience Nordstrom's exclusive MAC Makeup Studio, where they can pick up pro application tips and get on-on-one consultations. There's also an exclusive lipstick engraving station at YSL's beauty counter, complimentary with any lippie purchase.
The designer handbag department on level one features a range of luxury brands, from cult-cool designers like Alexander Wang to European fashion houses like Givenchy, Loewe, and more.
The women's department. The store also houses a Style Bar over on level 2, where shoppers can swing by for complimentary styling. Other services include Nordstrom Style Boards, a digital salesperson that'll generate personalized style recommendations via a shoppable smartphone app.
The store features mannequins portraying realistic sizes. Other cool new additions include even more convenient services and amenities, like a smartphone charging kiosk, coat check, online purchase and curbside pick-up, same-day delivery of in-store or online purchases for just $15, free basic alterations, and the new Nordstrom to You, a mobile service that brings styling, tailoring, and deliveries directly to your door.
The modern menswear brand focuses on "new-generation fabrics combined with timeless manufacturing techniques" — think sharp tailored suiting, Italian leather footwear, luggage handcrafted in New Zealand, chic sweaters made in Italy, and more.
Do-gooder eyewear brand Warby Parker's shop features free bike storage and showers for bicyclists and custom art by LA-based artwork Steven Harrington. Fashionable four-eyes can also shop the brand's limited-edition sunglasses available exclusively at the Westfield location: the Eastman frame in Eastern Bluebird Fade with Flash Mirrored Silver lenses.
Milan-based stationer Moleskine's first LA boutique features its new M+ collection of Smart Writing Set and Planner, which convert handwritten notes into digital files via Evernote or Adobe. On top of the brand's signature notebooks, paper goods, writing supplies, bags, and luxe leather accessories, the shop stocks limited edition Rolling Stones and Keith Haring Merch, among other exclusive items. There's a monogramming station for stationery and luggage, too.
Luxe LA chocolatier Compartes shuttered its shop at Melrose Place's Alfred Coffee and opened this chic Art Nouveau-inspired sweets shop, which stocks all of their inventive chocolate bar flavors and more.
Westfield has plenty of offerings for wellness-minded shoppers, from juices, smoothies, and more at Lifehouse and Beaming to natural beauty at Saje Natural Wellness.
Cult-cool French labels Sandro and Maje are among the stylish new stores set to open this fall.
After much anticipation, Westfield Century City is finally unveiling the stylish results of its $1 billion makeover. The renovated lifestyle center toasted its fashionable facelift last week with a starry celebration, complete with performances by DNCE, Fitz & the Tantrums, and the Village People.
In addition to making a major update to its directory, the popular outdoor mall tapped design star Kelly Wearstler to help reimagine its massive digs, which features chic hangout spots (like chessboard-inspired marble seating) dreamed up in the her signature maximalist aesthetic. All in all, Westfield added 442,000 square feet for a total of 1.3 million square feet of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space, which also includes an 18,000-square foot event venue called Atrium alongside private reception spaces throughout the center.
On top of stealing away Westside Pavilion's Nordstrom (which is 149,000 square feet spread across three stories), the lifestyle center also welcomed a new two-story Macy's last fall and revealed its renovated its Bloomingdale's earlier this year. That's not all: dozens of cult-fave labels hailing near and far also joined Westfield CC's roster, including LA's own Current/Elliott, Equipment, and Joie; Canada's Aritzia and Oak + Fort; Paris' Maje, Sandro, and Zadig & Voltaire; London's AllSaints; Australia's Sea Folly; New Zealand's Rodd & Gunn; and so much more. Other noteworthy additions include sleek stationery brand Moleskine, one-for-one eyewear brand Warby Parker, stylish chocolatiers Compartés, Aussie apothecary brand Aesop, natural beauty haven Saje Natural Wellness, and organic cafe Beaming, to name just a few.
Westfield's new directory also features a focus on health and wellness, which includes organic bites, juices, and smoothies from Beaming and Lifehouse; fitness hot spots like Equinox, Gloveworks, and Orangetheory; and more.
Oh, and about that highly-anticipated Eataly: it's expected to open later this month, along with upscale Mexican eatery Javier's first LA outpost, organic Mexican resto Tocaya Organica, Hellenic food haven Petros, and more.
Westfield CC also doubled its parking capacity with a total of 4,700 spaces and made it even more convenient for shoppers to park their rides: visitors can use Westfield's app to take advantage of ticketless smart parking and reserved parking (and if you sign up now, you'll score 50% off parking until the end of the year). Eventually, the mall will also include a Metro Purple Line station. Other amenities include concierge services offering personal styling and shopping, and an Uber Lounge.
