More good news for interior design aficionados. Following the debut of its bigger and brighter space in Santa Monica, West Elm is now setting its sights on Downtown. The home furnishings retailer confirms with us that its fifth LA outpost is taking over the ground floor of mixed-use development Broadway Palace, and it'll be ready to spruce up the spaces of those luxurious apartments upstairs by fall.

The store is landing across the street from the Ace Hotel and will span 11,200 square feet, as Brigham Yen revealed earlier this year. No word yet on shop's inventory, but we're guessing it'll stock a handpicked selection of stylish furniture, textiles, and decor geared towards DTLA loft dwellers.

In the meantime, the fair-trade retailer will be hosting free interior design workshops starting tomorrow. The two-part series will take place at all West Elm locations Wednesday, August 8 and August 15 from 6 to 8pm. Led by the store's Design Crew pros, the evening master classes will cover the basics of styling your home along with tips (like how to create a gallery wall and playing with patterns), and will also feature a panel of industry pros from paint company Sherwin-Williams and home improvement booking service Porch.

Plus, attendees will enjoy one-on-one consultations after each presentation along with 15% off their in-store purchases for the evening and $15 off purchases of $75 or more at Sherwin-Williams.
