Downtown dwellers may not have a Trader Joe's (yet?), but at least they'll come home to a stylishly furnished loft. As promised, West Elm's fifth LA home furnishings haven has arrived buzzing Broadway, making it a cinch for all of those new Broadway Palace inhabitants upstairs to deck out their digs. The store follows the retailer's recent opening in Santa Monica, where its largest California outpost arrived in June.

Spanning 11,221 square feet, the Brooklyn-based company's DTLA space is a subtle ode to Art Deco architecture of its legendary neighbor, the Eastern Columbia building, down the street, as seen in the custom-made metal wall fixtures and paneling at the cash wrap. The store showcases a selection of modern and vintage-inspired home furnishings, decor, textiles, kitchenware, and more interior design accessories curated with lofts in mind, like studio-sized seating and dining tables.

Like its other outposts, the space houses a Design Crew corner where experts can help customers create their dream home, order custom products, coordinate installations, and give a helping hand with registry services.

Over in the West Elm LOCAL section are goods made by 22 Cali-based talents, like geometric steel planters from Long Beach-based Eric Trine, chic pet leashes and food bowls by Dear Doggy, nature-inspired prints from Dandelion Paper Co., stained glass decor by Janel Foo Glassworks, Golden State-inspired prints by photographer Myan Soffia, retro pennants and patches from Miriam Dema, watercolor works from artist Rachel Brown, and more. That's not all: the store will also host pop-up shops and workshops featuring local artists and brands.

West Elm DTLA is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sunday from 11am to 6pm; (213) 683-4885.
