Armani's Bright Red Beauty Box Is Popping Up on Melrose Place Starting Tomorrow

Here's something for designer label-loving makeup mavens who are bored with the usual beauty counter experience. After popping up in Tokyo, Chicago, and New York, Giorgio Armani is bringing its bright red Box shop to Melrose Place starting tomorrow.

Landing between Mansur Gavriel and Veronica Beard (in that charming space where Atelier Cologne popped up last December) through Sunday, March 24, the shop will offer the Italian luxury fashion house's full line of people-pleasing lipsticks (including the matte Rouge d'Armani line, the sheer coverage Rouge Ecstasy range, the glossy liquid Lip Mastro line, and the limited-edition Lip Magnet collection, to name a few), foundations, eyeshadows, skincare, nail lacquers, and more.

Beauty buffs can also test-drive and buying new products, including the Power Fabric High Coverage Stretchable Concealer and Foundation Balm, as well as the just-launched Armani Code Absolu cologne before it officially lands on shelves in March.

Virtual makeover stations will allow guests to "try on" lipsticks and other beauty looks, while iPads can record your makeup consultations for sharing on social media. The shop also houses a customization station that'll offer personalized engraving on compacts and lippies, and a vending machine will be dispensing deluxe samples of the brand's bestsellers, including the Day Long Skin Perfector and the Smart Moisture Serum from Armani's Prima line alongside matte and and lacquer liquid lipsticks.

Of course, a Hollywood-inspired photobooth will snap a screen test-style selfie once you're ready; if that's not enough, a gold gorilla statue named Uri (a replica of the black creation made by Italian artist Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba for Mr. Armani's Milan manse) will be on hand for photo ops.

You can also enjoy a slew of beauty services depending on how much playtime you've got: Five-minute consultations include foundation shade matching, an eye brightening how-to, and lip color application; 10-minute services include lip and lash touch-ups, contouring, and go-to eye tutorials; while 20 minutes will get you a smokey eye, a straight-from-the-runway makeover, or a "classic and elegant look."
