Two buzzy hospitality giants are joining forces at Los Angeles' newest sustainable staycation spot. While 1 Hotel West Hollywood is officially welcoming check-ins starting June 1, fine dining fanatics can experience the eco-friendly getaway at Alice, the newest eatery by The H.wood Group.

Open as of April 29, the stylish marketplace and indoor/outdoor café (designed by H.wood collaborator John Sofio of Built, Inc.) is now serving up seasonal French-American fare featuring locally-sourced ingredients. For breakfast, there's the croque madame ($16), breakfast burrito (scrambled eggs, salsa roja, avocado, bacon, and tater tots; $12), coconut milk chia seed pudding with strawberries and Okinawa yam ($11), and French toast (brioche, stewed figs, and whipped crème fraiche; $12), to name a few. For lunch, there are soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrées that are encouraged to be shared, like the kale salad with Asian pear and pickled persimmon ($15), "Slab" brisket sandwich ($21), tortilla Espanola ($15), and grilled wild shrimp ($19), among others.

As far as cocktails ($16), you can order up Los Angeles-inspired creations like the Silver Lake (vodka, strawberry-infused aperol, rhubarb, lemon, Perrier, and sparkling wine), the Melrose Place (Tanqueray gin, red bell pepper, habañero pepper, black pepper, lemon, and saline solution), the Boyle Heights (Don Julio silver tequila, vida mezcal, Domaine de Canton, red beet, ginger, and lime), and the Beverly Hills (Belvedere vodka with cucumber, black pepper, rosemary, lemon, and aquafaba), among others.

Over in the marketplace, expect to find artisanal wines, dinner party-ready charcuterie boards, a raw oyster bar, and grab-and-go sandwiches and chopped salads.

Behind the menu are H.wood Group culinary director Lord Maynard Llera (formerly of Bestia) and chef de cuisine Geter Atienzia (formerly of Broken Spanish), while the bar director is Justin Campbell (previously of Girl & A Goat and Publican Anker).

Getting hungry? The resto will start serving dinner starting Monday, May 20. Check Alice out and scroll through the gallery above, then book a table by emailing reservations@alicewesthollywood.com or calling (424) 281-1870.
