Since there's no clear end to house dress season, we're gonna need some equally comfy indoor shoes to match. If your WFH footwear could use a sustainable and seamless upgrade, star-beloved brand Rothy's has a safe excuse to step foot out of your abode via its first store in Los Angeles.
Located next door to recently-shuttered Glossier, the 1,000-square-foot space soft-opens today on Melrose Place for online order pickup. It'll officially debut Wednesday, Sept. 2 for in-person shopping, with capacity capped at two guests at a time. As far as inventory, expect to find the San Francisco-based brand's new collection of eco-friendly bags ($65 to $375) and face masks alongside its best-selling 3D-knitted foot-huggers ($115 and up) made of ethically-sourced Merino wool and recycled plastic.
On offer are the Point flats (H.R.H. Meghan Markle is a fan), the Loafer (recently seen on Lili Reinhart), the Slide, the Sneaker, the Lace Up, the Mary Jane, and other comfy and machine-washable silhouettes. Any pairs that aren't stocked on the IRL shelves can be ordered online, including the label's kids collection, and L.A. shoppers will score an exclusive tote bag with their purchase.

"The newest Rothy's store will allow us to engage with the Los Angeles community in a new, intimate, and meaningful way," explains CEO and co-founder Stephen Hawthornthwaite in a statement. "Our physical retail presence is yet another way through which Rothy's is able to build a connection to our customer, which is why we're so excited to open our newest store in Los Angeles."
The West Hollywood boutique took over Brazilian designer Martha Medeiros' former space and marks the direct-to-consumer brand's second West Coast outpost after its S.F. flagship, and another L.A. location in Larchmont Village is slated to open this fall. The company also has locations in New York; Boston; Washington, DC; and London.
