Rodeo Drive and red soles go together like, well, the 90210 and Loubs — which is why it's surprising that Christian Louboutin has finally (and officially) debuted on the high-end shopping stretch.

The luxury footwear designer opened his Los Angeles flagship in August Getty's former atelier Wednesday in Beverly Hills, marking his third SoCal outpost. (The designer shuttered his standalone Robertson boutiques last year to make way for the new store.)

The occasion was fêted that night with a starry drive-in screening of the brand's documentary, In the Footsteps of Christian Louboutin at the Hollywood Roosevelt. Janelle Monae, Dita von Teese, model Shaun Ross, model/artist Langley Fox, and stylist Erica Pelosini were among the attendees at yesterday's soirée.

The brand's new shop is located in a two-story historic building that was once home to Charlie Chaplin's offices, and is known for its shopping cameos in Pretty Woman and Clueless. The space pays homage to its locale's Hollywood history and Louboutin's many global getaways.

The ground floor's light-inviting bay windows and natural textiles call to mind a summer lounge while highlighting the French-Egyptian designer's women's collections. French decorator Patrice Dangel dreamed up the stucco leaf embellishments on the fixtures, and the wooden displays were inspired by the huts of Portuguese fishermen.

The space also showcases work by photographer Jean-Vincent Simonet, who created pastel-hued art inspired by Louboutin's shoes. The artist's vibrant art is also featured on heels and sneakers as part of a capsule collaboration available exclusively at the store.

Up on the second floor, Louboutin's men's collections are displayed in a pergola-inspired setting. Shoppers can relax on tiger-patterned armchairs and seating purchased by the designer himself in Mexico, or they can gaze on oversized slices of agate from the Tucson Gem Show.
