This week's L.A. heatwave has us dreaming of easy, sweet summer dressing and resortwear label Faithfull must've read our minds. The Indonesia-based brand answered the call for vacation outfits with the opening of its first-ever standalone pop-up on Friday, April 8 at Platform, Culver City's hip boutique mall.
The retail space, set to remain open for two months only, will exclusively unveil Faithfull's Islas collection, which will be available to shop before the collection officially launches on the brand's site. The first drop available at the pop-up comprises more than 50 pieces perfect for a bohemian paradise – bikini sets, poolside loungewear, mini and midi dresses, and beach accessories like a crochet bucket hat and tote bag. Prices range from $85 to $329.
To bring the pieces – inspired by the colorful coastline of Careyes, Mexico – to life, the pop-up was curated by Los Angeles-based interior design studio Night Palm and embodies an exotic holiday destination. Think Mediterranean-level tranquility meets natural Mexican architecture. Sign us up.
"We want to take our Californian customers on holiday this summer," says Faithfull creative director Helle Them-Enger on the design inspiration behind the pop-up. "Faithfull is a fashion destination for those seeking [light]-drenched escapes. Our Islas collection was inspired by the colorful coastline of Careyes, Mexico, so it was important for us to design a retail oasis for our Los Angeles customers while they experience the collection in person."
The first 50 customers to arrive at Faithfull's pop-up on Saturday, April 9 will be treated to a gift bag valued at over $400 – filled with goodies from Summer Fridays, OSEA, Supergoop!, Rainbo, J Beverly Hills, and Pressed. Plus, during its residency at Platform, it will treat customers to weekly in-store activations and giveaways.
Faithfull was founded in Indonesia in 2012 by co-directors and friends Sarah-Jane Abrahams of Australia and Helle Them-Enger of Norway. The two collaborated with some of Bali's most socially responsible manufacturers to create hand-made garments, and have continued to live and work closely with their local community ever since.
With designs that evoke a sense of summer and a spirit of travel, Faithfull is widely known for its flattering shapes, vintage-inspired prints, and unique pieces. The brand says it to continually dedicate time, research, and resources necessary to minimize its environmental footprint and maximize its positive social impact. And as of 2021, it officially became a certified B Corporation.
